Overview
This mini tour in Turkey covers a few of the major highlights of Istanbul as well as side trip to the battlefields and memorials of Gallipoli and the mythological site of Troy located in the Canakkale area. Can also be combined with other areas of Turkey, you let us know where you want to go and we will plan your trip accordingly. Available year round.
Tour itinerary
DAY 01 - Arrival:
Meet on arrival to Istanbul Airport and transfer to hotel with remainder of the day & evening then free at leisure. Overnight in Istanbul.
*If arriving early in the day (morning) option to add on half day afternoon Bosphorus Cruise if you wish.

DAY 02 - Historical Sights in Sultanahmet:
Breakfast at hotel then meet to join on regular group tour (private guided available on request) to explore some of the most important sights in the historical area. Visit the Blue Mosque, St Sophia, Hippodrome and Obelisk, the Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace (excluding optional extra entrance to Harem room). After the tour, return to hotel with evening at leisure. Overnight in Istanbul.

DAY 03 - Istanbul to Canakkale & Gallipoli:
Breakfast, check out and meet for early morning departure to Eceabat. On arrival break for lunch before starting the Gallipoli Battlefields and Memorials Tour. The guide will take you to see the Kabatepe Museum, ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Johnston's Jolly (Turkish & Allied trenches and tunnels), The Nek and Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial. At the end of the sightseeing cross by car ferry for the drive on to Canakkale and check-in to hotel. The evening is at leisure and for those that wish there is a screening of the 4 Corners Documentary ‘Fatal Shore’ and the "Gallipoli" movie starring Mel Gibson. Overnight in Canakkale.

DAY 04 - Guided Troy Tour:
Breakfast, check out then depart on the a morning excursion to visit the famous archaeological and mythological city of Troy, home of the "Trojan Horse" & "Helen of Troy". Return to Canakkale by noon with remainder of day at leisure until return drive to Istanbul. Late evening arrival and overnight in Istanbul.

**If you wish, we can also arrange travel on to another area of Turkey after the sightseeing in Troy.
DAY 05 - Departure:
Breakfast, check-out and per your international flight departure time transfer to Istanbul Ataturk Airport.
