Overview
During this tour you have a chance to combine train and overland travel, covering some of the most popular sites. Visit Luxor with temples on it's East bank and the Necropolis on the West, enjoy Aswan with its unique feluccas, wind with the Nile when passing through Kom Ombo and Edfu. To add to this cultural experience you have also have two full days in the capital Cairo.
Tour itinerary
DAY 01 - Arrival Cairo:
Meet in the arrivals hall of Cairo Airport and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 02 - Guided Giza Tour:
Meet in hotel lobby with the tour guide to begin the sightseeing excursion with a visit to Memphis, ancient capital of Egypt dating from 3100 BC which contains the beautiful representation of King Ramsis II through his colossal statue. Then proceed to Sakkara to see the world-famous Step Pyramid of King Zoser, the oldest known of Egypt's 107 Pyramids. At the Pyramids area, visit the Three Pyramids built for Pharaohs Cheops, Chephren & Mycerinus and the mysterious Sphinx. After tour transfer to rail station for departure on overnight sleeper train to Aswan.

DAY 03 - Aswan Sightseeing:
Breakfast onboard train, arrival to Aswan and meet for transfer to hotel. Then depart with guide on a full day tour visiting the High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk and Philae Temple. Afterwards enjoy a felucca ride on the Nile offering views of Elephantine Island and Agha Khan Mausoleum. Overnight in Aswan. Optional extra excursion to Abu Simbel (by land or by flight) can be added.

DAY 04 - Edfu & Kom Ombo:
Breakfast, check-out and depart on the drive from Aswan to Luxor. Along the way stop in Kom Ombo to visit the Temple of Sobek & Haroeris & then in Edfu to visit Temple of Horus the largest and most completely preserved Pharoanic Temple that combines Pharaonic and Greek architectures. Overnight in Luxor. **Optional extra Light & Sound Show at Karnak Temple can be added.

DAY 05 - Luxor Sightseeing:
Breakfast, check-out and begin tour visiting Luxor & Karnak Temples along with the Valley of Kings & Queens, Colossi of Memnon and Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Then some free time before transfer to rail station for overnight sleeper train back to Cairo.

DAY 06 - Cairo Highlights Tour:
Breakfast on train, arrival and transfer to begin full day tour visiting the Egyptian Museum, Citadel of Saladin (with its Alabaster Mosque and Tomb of Ottoman ruler Mohamed Ali), Old Cairo area (with mix of Islamic and Christian Monuments) and Khan El-Khalily Bazaar.

DAY 07 - Departure:
Breakfast, check-out and per your international flight departure time meet for transfer to Cairo Airport.
