Overview

Guided day tours providing the opportunity for you to discover the Pyramids of Giza, Memphis & Sakkara in Cairo, explore the lunar-like landscape of Cappadocia with its carved churches, fairy chimneys and underground cities. Also explore and learn about the fascinating historical highlights of Istanbul.


• This is a flexible travel package for individuals and you get to select your own travel dates.

• Itinerary can also be done in reverse order (Istanbul-Cappadocia-Cairo).

Tour itinerary

DAY 01 : Arrival to Cairo

Meet at Cairo Airport for transfer to the hotel. Remainder of the afternoon/evening is then free at leisure to get settled in. Overnight in Cairo

DAY 02 : Giza Pyramids, Memphis & Sakkara

Your private Cairo guide will take you to visit the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, the oldest known of Egypt's 107 Pyramids, located in Sakkara. Then to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt dating from 3100BC. Continue to the Giza area and visit the world-famous Giza Pyramids and Sphinx. Overnight in Cairo

DAY 03 : Giza Pyramids, Memphis & Sakkara

Today you visit the Egyptian Museum, the Citadel of Saladin (with its Alabaster Mosque and Tomb of Ottoman ruler Mohamed Ali), the Old Cairo area (with a mix of Islamic and Christian Monuments) and Khan El-Khalily Bazaar. Overnight in Cairo

DAY 04 : Flight to Cappadocia

Transfer from the hotel to Cairo Airport for departure on flight to Cappadocia (via Istanbul). Arrive and meet for transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Cappadocia

DAY 05 : North Cappadocia

*Optional extra: very early morning 01-hour hot air balloon ride offering amazing views

Today's tour takes you to visit Devrent Valley and Monk's Valley (Pasabagi) where you find the world-famous fairy chimneys; lunch in Avanos village; visit the must-see Goreme Open-Air Museum with its carved churches and monasteries with their frescoes; views of Uchisar Natural rock castle. Overnight Cappadocia

DAY 06 - South Cappadocia & flight to Istanbul

Start the day with a 4km (medium grade, approx 2-hours) hike in Red Valley and visit Cavusin (an old Greek village). Break for lunch then explore Kaymakli Underground City. The day also includes panoramic views at Pigeon Valley with its famous dovecotes. After the day tour, transfer to airport for domestic flight to Istanbul, arrive and transfer to the hotel. DAY 07 : Sultanahmet's Byzantine & Ottoman Relics

This full day walking tour allows you to discover some of the most important sights in the historical Sultanahmet area. Visit the Blue Mosque, St Sophia, Hippodrome and Obelisk, Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace. The evening is then free at leisure. Overnight in Istanbul

DAY 08 : Bosphorous & 2 Continents

Join the full day regular group tour that includes a cruise along the Bosphorus offering views from the vessel of various palaces, villas, mosques and other sites that line its shores. After the cruise, the tour continues on land visiting the City Walls, Spice Bazaar, Beylerbeyi Palace, & Camlica Hill. Overnight Istanbul

DAY 09 : Departure

As per your international flight departure time, transfer from the hotel to Istanbul Airport.
