DAY
01 - Arrival to Trabzon Airport: |
| |
Arrive
to Trabzon Airport where you will be met and transferred to
the hotel for check-in. Dinner
at the hotel and briefing of the following days touring. Overnight
in Trabzon. (Meal: D) |

DAY
02 - Sumela Monastery and Karaca Cave Tour: |
| |
Depart
to visit the 4th century Sumela Monastery which clings to a
sheer cliff face in a deep forest. Relax beside a fast flowing
stream at Altindere Valley National Park before lunch and then
travel along the old Silk Road through the Zigana Mountains
which will take us to Karaca Cave that is considered to be the
most beautiful in Turkey for its colors and formations. Overnight
in Trabzon. (Meals: B+D) |

DAY
03 - Trabzon Touring enroute to Uzungol: |
| |
Depart
for Ayasofya, a 13th century church and study the extraordinary
collection of Byzantine
frescoes. Then depart for Gülbahar Hatun Mosque, the Castle
and Atatürk's Mansion. Visit the Ortahisar Mosque (a Comneni
Cathedral in the old town) before we drive to Boztepe for a
drink of tea and to enjoy the panoramic view of the city. Depart
for Uzungöl with lunch at a fish restaurant and sightseeing.

DAY
04 - Rize, Firtina (Storm) Valley and Ayder: |
| |
Visit
the Botanical Garden which offers panoramic views over Rize.
Then drive to Camlihemsin through the beautifull Firtina Valley
enjoying the panorama with its many waterfalls, stone bridges
over Firtina Stream and lush green forests on the foothills
of the magnificient Kaçkar Mountains. Lunch and sightseeing
in Ayder. Overnight in Ayder. (Meals: B+D) |

DAY
05 - Artvin via Borcka , Karagol: |
| |
Drive
to Artvin and visit Borcka Karagöl and the ancient Georgian
Churches of Dolishane, Yeni Rabat (Shetberdi) Church in Ardanuç.
Then we drive beside the fastest flowing River of Coruh as we
make our way towards Artvin. Overnight in Artvin (Meals: B+D) |

DAY
06 - Georgian Churches enroute to Erzurum: |
| |
Driving
through the River Coruh Valley will take us to other Georcian
Churches; Ishan, Osk-Vank and stop for a visit to the Tortum
Waterfalls on the way, lunch enroute. Drive to Erzurum for an
overnight stay (Meals: B+D) |

DAY
07 - Erzurum & Departure: |
| |
Morning
visit Seljuk & Mongolian monuments; the Cifte Minareli Medrese,
a theological school named for its towering twin minarets, Yakutiye
Medrese, built by Mongolian Prince Olcayto in 1308, is topped
with a richly tiled minaret. Also visit Ulu Mosque and Erzurum
Castle, then transfer to Erzurum Airport for your onward flight,
and say farewell (Meals: B) |
