Overview
This mini travel package provides you with the opportunity to experience the sounds, tastes and history of two very important cities. Guided tours take you back in time visiting the world famous Pyramids area along with downtown Cairo then on to discover old sites and history of Alexandria. A trip from ancient Egyptian roots through the Classical period to Roman times and beyond.
Tour itinerary
DAY 01 - Cairo Airport transfer:
Our representative will be waiting for you at Cairo Airport to assist you through immigration and transfer on to hotel. Rest of the day/evening then free at leisure (per your flight arrival time). Overnight in Cairo.

DAY 02 - Guided Giza & Sakkara Tour:
After breakfast, depart with your private tour guide to visit to Memphis, ancient capital of Egypt dating from 3100 BC which contains the beautiful representation of King Ramsis II through his colossal statue. Proceed to Sakkara to see the world-famous Step Pyramid of King Zoser, the oldest known of Egypt's 107 Pyramids. At the Pyramids area, visit the Three Pyramids built for Pharaohs Cheops, Chephren & Mycerinus on the Giza Plateau and the mysterious Sphinx. (Optional Nile Dinner Cruise or Light & Sound show can be included). Overnight in Cairo.

DAY 03 - Explore Old Cairo & Egyptian Museum:
On todays tour visit the Egyptian Museum, then the Citadel Of Saladin with its Alabaster Mosque and the Tomb of Ottoman ruler Mohamed Ali. The excursion also includes touring around the Old Cairo area where you can find a mixture between the Islamic and Christian Monuments such as the Abu Serga Church, Al Mo'allaqa Church or Hanging Church which are dated back to the beginning of the 5th Century AD and are built as the basilica style. Overnight in Cairo.

DAY 04 - Alexandria Tour roundtrip from Cairo:
Breakfast then meet at hotel for departure on the drive (+/- 3hrs) to Alexandria. On arrival guided tour visiting Pompey's Pillar, Catacombs of Kom El-Shokafa, Alexandria Library, view of the Fort of Quaitbay from outside, Roman Amphitheater & Montazah Palace. Return on the drive back to Cairo and overnight stay.

DAY 05 - Departure:
Breakfast, check-out and as per your international flight departure time meet for transfer to Cairo Airport.
