DAY
01 - Arrival to Cairo: |
| |
Arrival
to Cairo Airport and meet for assistance through customs and
transfer on to the hotel.
Rest of the day is then at leisure (as per your flight arrival
time). Overnight in Cairo. |

DAY
02 - Pyramids
and Sphinx, train to Aswan: |
| |
Breakfast
at hotel then meet with the guide and start the days tour with
a visit to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt dating from
3100 BC which contains the beautiful representation of King
Ramsis II through his colossal statue. Then proceed to Sakkara
where we will see the world-famous Step Pyramid of King Zoser,
the oldest known of Egypt's 107 Pyramids. At the Pyramids area,
visit the Three Pyramids built for Pharaohs Cheops, Chephren
& Mycerinus on the Giza Plateau and the mysterious Sphinx.
After the tour, transfer on to Cairo Rail Station for departure
on overnight train to Aswan. Overnight onboard train in sleeper
car (dinner included). |

DAY
03 - Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor: |
| |
On
arrival to Aswan Rail Station meet for transfer to board the
Nile Cruise. Embarkation before lunch. Then depart with the
tour guide to visit the High Dam, one of the biggest dams in
the world and was an engineering miracle when it was built in
the 1960's. Then proceed to the Unfinished Obelisk, a huge obelisk
incompletely carved - 41 meters high - that shows the techniques
the ancient Egyptians used in carving obelisks. Afterwards move
on to visit the Philae Temple which was dedicated to goddess
Isis. It's now reassembled at a new site on Agilika Island about
500km from its former site on Philae Island. (If time allows,
additional/alternative morning excursions can be added to Abu
Simbel or a felucca ride to view Elephantine Island, the Plantation
"Kitcheners" Island and Agha Khan Mausoleum). Overnight
onboard Nile Cruise. |

DAY
04 - Kom Ombo and Edfu: |
| |
The
cruise sails to Kom Ombo & upon arrival visit The Temple
of Sobek & Haroeris, dedicated to the crocodile-god Sobek.
The temple stands at a bend in the Nile where in ancient times
sacred crocodiles basked in the sun on the river bank. Return
to the cruise & sail to Edfu. On arrival visit the Temple
of Horus, the largest and most complete preserved Temple combining
Pharaonic and Greek architectures. Overnight onboard cruise. |

DAY
05 - Luxor and the West Bank: |
| |
Sail
to Esna and Luxor. Upon arrival to Luxor, move to the West
Bank of the Nile to visit the Valley of Kings & Queens,
a vast City of the dead where magnificent tombs were carved
into the desert rocks and filled with treasures for the afterlife
by generations of Pharaohs. Then proceed to the foot of the
cliff to see the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only woman
who ruled Egypt in Pharaonic History. On the way back to the
River Nile, your road passes by the famed Colossi of Memnon,
known in Ancient Greek times for their haunting voices at
dawn. Return back to cruise and evening at leisure. Overnight
onboard cruise. |

DAY
06 - Sleeper train from Luxor to Cairo (or by flight): |
| |
After
breakfast it is time to disembark from the cruise, Meet with
your guide and depart to visit
the Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple. After the morning tour you
have free time at leisure until transfer to the rail station
for departure on the overnight sleeper train to Cairo. Overnight
onboard train, dinner included. |

DAY
07 - Tour to Citadel, Egyptian Museum, Old Cairo & Khan
El Khalily Bazaar: |
| |
Arrival
to Cairo rail station and meet for transfer to hotel to drop
luggage. Then depart on todays tour visiting the Egyptian Museum,
then the Citadel of Saladin with its Alabaster Mosque and
the Tomb of Ottoman ruler Mohamed Ali. The excursion also includes
touring around the Old Cairo area where you can find a mixture
between the Islamic and Christian Monuments such as the Abu
Serga Church, Al Mo'allaqa Church or Hanging Church which are
dated back to the beginning of the 5th Century AD and are built
as the basilica style along with the world famous Khan El-Khalily
Bazaar. Overnight in Cairo. |

08 - By flight from Cairo to Amman: |
| |
Breakfast,
check out and meet for transfer to Cairo Airport for flight
to Amman (Jordan). Arrival and meet for transfer to the hotel
and check-in. Remainder of the day/evening free at leisure.

DAY
09 - Amman City Tour / Ajloun / Jerash / Amman: |
| |
After
breakfast, panoramic city tour in Amman, visiting Amman citadel,
Roman theatre and folklore museum. Then continue to Ajloun and
visiting the famous Islamic castle. Drive to the Decapolis city
of Jerash founded in 300BC for a unique tour of the ancients
Greco-roman city, taking in Hadrian's triumphal Arch, the Hippodrome,
the Forum and strolling through the impressive colonnaded streets,
the churches and the amphitheaters. Overnight in Amman. |

DAY
10 - Amman / Madaba / Mt Nebo / Kerak / Petra: |
| |
Proceed
to St. George's church in Madaba, home to the famous mosaic
map of the Holy Land before moving on to Mt. Nebo, the memorial
of Moses. Continue to Kerak via al Mujeb mountains to visit
the famous Crusader castle of Reginald of chatillon and then
to Petra. Overnight in Petra. |

DAY
11 - Petra and Wadi Rum (bedouin tent): |
| |
After
breakfast, explore the Red Rose City of Petra. Enjoy this wonderful
ancient Nabatean city which indeed is unique. Take a short horse
ride along the famous narrow (siq) until your eye first catches
the amazing treasury (El Khazna). Petra reaches over a total
area of 40km with many rose-red buildings, facades, baths, temples
and unforgettable drawings. Then transfer to another of nature's
wonderlands that has attracted human beings for thousands of
years. Wadi Rum or "Valley of the Moon" is an unusual
desert terrain that resembles a pastel pink lunar landscape,
with towering limousine and granite cliffs shooting out of the
sandy desert floor. Here enjoy a 4x4 Jeep safari and stay in
a Bedouin camp (Jabal Rum Camp) and enjoy a Bedouin party show
and dinner. Overnight in Bedouin Tent. |

DAY
12 - Wadi Rum / Dead Sea / Amman: |
| |
After
breakfast, proceed north to the lowest spot of the world, the
Dead Sea. Reach the Dead
Sea Spa Hotel where you will have free time at leisure. Late
afternoon return back to Amman. |

13 - International Departure: |
| |
Breakfast,
check out and as per your international flight time transfer
on to Amman Airport. |
